About FHCA
It is my privilege to lead Florida's first and largest advocacy organization for long term care providers and the frail elderly they serve. For more than 50 years, FHCA has remained true to its founding principles of quality improvement through mutual support and education. Inside the FHCA Web site is a huge variety of information helpful to those who are at the frontlines of elder care. There's also much useful consumer advice for those who are considering a long term care placement for a family member or loved one in Florida. Look also for upcoming seminars and events in your area sponsored by FHCA. I'm particularly proud that FHCA was first in the nation to institute a quality credentialing and peer review organization program for nursing homes. It has since helped Florida's nursing homes improve their performance and the quality of life for those in their care. FHCA members only can access a huge array of clinical, reimbursement, regulatory, legislative, workforce, disaster preparedness, quality improvement and survey readiness information in the members only section. I hope that by spending time at the FHCA Web site you'll have a greater appreciation for the tremendous and rewarding challenge that is long term care in the nation's most elder-rich state. Sincerely, Deborah Franklin As a federation of long term care providers, FHCA is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for elderly, chronically ill, and disabled individuals. This dedication is reflected in our Vision Statement.
