Palm Garden of Ocala recently received the OPTIMA Award, a national award given by Long Term Living Magazine. Since 1996, the award has recognized facilities that have proven successful in contributing significantly to improved resident function, their well-being and show they are responsive to the desires and preferences of residents and their families. Over the past year Palm Garden of Ocala has implemented programs that have caught National attention, including their "Empower with Choice" culture change programs, which were initiated through a $66,000 grant awarded from AHCA. These programs have helped to increase independence, dignity and quality of care for their residents.
