Stay informed, get involved and make a difference
FHCA’s Lobby Wednesdays give members an important opportunity to share with legislators and key decision
makers how their legislation affects your facilities and how you provide quality care to your residents.
Each Wednesday before and during legislative session, FHCA members travel to Tallahassee to advocate on behalf of the profession. Lobby Wednesdays start with an informative briefing at 8:00 a.m. EST at the FHCA headquarters, followed by meetings with legislators and staff and other activities at the Capitol. The day wraps up with a quick debriefing at FHCA to recap your meetings and discuss any follow up activities that need to be coordinated. A typical Lobby Wednesday ends between 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. EST.
