Excellence In Nursing Awards
The FHCA Long Term Care Excellence in Nursing Awards is a distinction awarded to outstanding nurses who have been nominated by their facilities for excelling in many varied areas of expertise: clinical practice, customer responsiveness, leadership and communication. Over the long history of this annual quality awards program, the recipients have been diverse in their accomplishments while exhibiting a common trait of concern for residents, family members, and staff members. Three Categories
- Nursing Administrator
- Registered Nurse
- Licensed Practical Nurse
Eligibility
- Any registered nurse and licensed practical nurse employed at a member skilled nursing or assisted living facility with a minimum of a standard license for the past 30 months and employed by the member facility for at least one year is eligible for these awards.
Winners Receive
- A complimentary registration to the current year's Nurse Leadership Program
- Free hotel accommodations for the event's 2 nights and 3 days
- A recognition plaque, presented during the Nurse Leadership Program and recognition in FHCA's newsletters, Pulse and Focus on Florida
2010 Long Term Care Excellence in Nursing Awards
This year's theme - Visions for Sea Change: Shaping the Future of Long Term Care - celebrates the important role nurse leaders play in doing just that. These awards are an excellent opportunity to recognize nurse leaders in FHCA member facilities who daily demonstrate the commitment to invest in quality care through their physical presence with and attention to residents and/or staff.

Award winners will be recognized during the LTC Excellence in Nursing Awards luncheon during the Nurse Leadership Program on Thursday, September 9, at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort.
