FHCA Announces 2014-15 Officers

Tallahassee, FL - Florida Health Care Association (FHCA), the statewide trade association which represents over 500 Florida long term care facilities and over 1,000 professional members, recently elected its 2014-15 statewide officers. These volunteer leaders were sworn in during the FHCA 2014 Annual Conference held in Orlando, Fl. on July 10, 2014. Joe Mitchell, President of Summit Care II based in Tallahassee, was elected President of FHCA and vowed to continue FHCA’s mission of advancing the quality of services, image, professional development and financial stability of its members. The Association’s 2014-15 officers include:

•    President: Joe Mitchell, President of Summit Care II, Inc. in Tallahassee
•    Senior Vice President: John Simmons, Administrator of Macclenny Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
•    Secretary: Alex Terentev, Director of Operations with Gulf Coast Health Care out of Lake Mary
•    Treasurer: Marco Carrasco, Administrator of West Gables Health Care Center in Miami
•    Member at Large: Thomas Groesbeck, Dir. of Communications and Government Affairs at Airamid Health Services in West Palm Beach
•    Independent Owner Vice President: Jeffrey Freimark, President & CEO of Miami Jewish Health Systems
•    Multifacility Vice President: Jeff Jellerson, COO of Consulate Management Company in Maitland
•    Non‐Proprietary Vice President: Elaine Boyer, Administrator of Benderson Family Skilled Nursing in Sarasota
•    Assisted Living Facility Vice President: Steven Schrunk, Administrator of Countryside Lakes in Port Orange
•    Associate Member Vice President: Yale Metz, Divisional VP with Healthcare Services Group, Inc.
•    Region I Vice President: Keith Myers,President & CEO of MorseLife, Inc. in West Palm Beach
•    Region II Vice President: Michael Bradley, Administrator of Valencia Hills Health & Rehab Center in Lakeland
•    Region III Vice President: Vernon Zeger, Executive Director of Hawthorne Health & Rehab of Brandon
•    Region IV Vice President: Thomas McDaniel, Administrator of Santa Rosa Health & Rehabilitation Center in Milton
