FHCA elects 2012-13 officers

Diverse group of long term care professionals elected to lead Florida's first and largest advocacy organization for long term care providers

TALLAHASSEE, FL ‐ Florida Health Care Association (FHCA), the statewide trade association which represents 500 Florida long term care facilities and over 1,000 professional members, recently elected its 2012‐13 statewide officers. These volunteer leaders were sworn in during the FHCA 2012 Annual Conference & Trade Show held in Orlando, July 30 - August 2, 2012. Scott Allen from Tampa was elected President of FHCA and vowed to continue FHCA's mission of advancing the quality of services, image, professional development and financial stability of its members. The Association's 2012-13 officers include:

• President – Scott Allen, Vice President of Government Relations at Health Care Navigator in Tampa;
• Senior Vice President – Joe Mitchell, President of Summit Care, II in Tallahassee;
• Secretary ‐ John Simmons, Administrator of Macclenny Nursing & Rehabilitation Center;
• Treasurer – Marco Carrasco, Administrator of West Gables Health Care Center in Miami;
• Member at Large - Thomas Groesbeck, Dir. of Communications and Government Affairs at Airamid Health Services in West Palm Beach;
• Independent Owner Vice President – Weston Edwards, President of Page Healthcare, Inc. in Ft. Myers;
• Multifacility Vice President – Jeff Jellerson, COO of Ambassador Ancillary Services in Maitland;
• Immediate Past President – Nina Willingham, Senior Executive Director of Life Care Center of Sarasota;
• Non‐Proprietary Vice President, Elaine Boyer, Administrator of Village on the Isle-Luke Haven in Venice;
• Assisted Living Facility Vice President – Rosemary Carbonelli, Administrator of Pines of Sarasota;
• Associate Member Vice President ‐ Yale Metz, Divisional VP with Healthcare Services Group, Inc.
• Region I Vice President – Carole Smith, Director of Finance at Whitehall Boca Raton;
• Region II Vice President – Alex Terentev, Administrator of Manor on the Green in Daytona Beach;
• Region III Vice President – Anita Faulmann, Administrator of Orchard Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center in New Port Richey; and
• Region IV Vice President ‐ Connie O'Donnell, Administrator of All Saints Catholic Nursing Home in Jacksonville.
