Medicaid Fiscal Agent

Monday, March 31, Peggy Rigsby and Tony Marshall met with representatives of EDS, the new Medicaid fiscal agent set to take over the payment of Medicaid claims beginning July 1, 2008. The transfer to EDS is going well, and reports from the first provider training done by EDS show that over 600 long term care representatives have been trained in the changes coming on July 1. EDS is continuing to do outreach and has scheduled more training to begin in late April.
