Human Trafficking for Nursing Home Administrators
This one-hour, on-demand video course will address various types of human trafficking, ways an individual can be trafficked, general data on human trafficking, trauma, the internet’s role in facilitating human trafficking, the effects of complex-trauma on the brain and how NHAs can make an impact on victims of human trafficking. This course will meet the requirements outlined in Section 456.0341, Florida Statutes for Nursing Home Administrator license renewal. The course may be included in the total general hours required. This course will meet the requirements outlined in both 464.013, F.S. for content criteria and the F.A.C. 64B9-5.002 for continuing education for nursing license renewal, established after January 1, 2019, and required each biennium thereafter on the topic of Human Trafficking. Florida Laws and Rules Video Course for Nurses
Established in 2013 by the Florida Board of Nursing, “Florida Laws and Rules of the Board of Nursing” must be obtained from an approved continuing education provider and is a required CE topic for nurse licensure renewal each biennium per F. A. C. 64B9-5.002. FHCA’s Kim Broom, RN, HCRM and staff liaison to the Florida Board of Nursing, will present this Board-approved two-hour self-directed video course for nurses. Medical Errors: Prevention & Analysis - a 2 Hour Self Study Course for Administrators and Nurses. 456.013(7), F.S.
This two-hour self-directed course is designed to assist Florida’s licensed Nursing Home Administrators and Nurses in meeting the statutory requirements of Florida Statutes 456.013 (7); as well as the regulatory requirements of the Florida Administrative Code, Sections 64B9-5.011 for Nurses and s. 64B10-11.0011 for Nursing Home Administrators. This on-demand webinar helps Preceptors meet the two-hours of continuing education required upon license renewal every two years. Preceptor Provider Training Video Course
FHCA's Preceptor Provider Training prepares nursing home administrators to serve as Preceptors for students in the Administrator-In-Training (AIT) Program or College-Based Internship required for individuals who plan to become licensed nursing home administrators. This six-hour, self-directed video course has been approved by the Board of Nursing Home Administrators for Florida licensed administrators desiring to be certified. Presenters will lead attendees through the program to help qualify them to become Preceptors. Six (6) contact hours can be earned for taking the course. Any nursing home administrator who acts as a preceptor will be granted 10 hours of continuing education credit for that biennium. Cost: $199.00 members / $299.00 nonmembers
