Follow FHCA on Twitter - Receive Text Updates from FHCA!

FHCA plans to use Twitter to send real-time updates to Annual Conference attendees. Sign up to follow us on Twitter and tweet your week or follow our Conference tweets, using hastag #fhca09 in any tweets about the FHCA 2009 Annual Conference & Trade Show.

What is Twitter? Twitter is a service that allows family, friends, and colleagues to stay connected through short message sent via text messaging (SMS), instant messaging (IM), or the Web. Learn more from the Twitter Support page.

How do I use it?

  • From your cell phone: Send the text message follow fhca to 40404
  • From your computer: Create a Twitter account, and then sign up to follow FHCA on Twitter (link to www.twitter.com/fhca. If you want to receive text updates on your phone or Blackberry, be sure to register your mobile device's number.
How is FHCA using Twitter? We plan to use Twitter to send real-time updates throughout the FHCA Nurse Leadership Program and FHCA’s Annual Conference. We may also use it to send brief updates on issues of importance to the long term care profession throughout the year. You can stop receiving text updates at any time by using the STOP command. Refer to the Twitter Commands page and the Twitter Help page for more details.

What does it cost? There is no charge for using Twitter, but depending on your mobile phone plan, text message charges may apply. Check with your mobile service provider for details.
