Human Trafficking Video Course for Nursing Home Administrators

Florida Board of Nursing Home Administrators regulations require all Florida Nursing Home Administrators to complete a board-approved, one-hour continuing education course on human trafficking, in accordance with Section 456.0341, Florida Statutes.

FHCA's Human Trafficking Course for Nursing Home Administrators is an on-demand, self-directed video course which allows you to schedule your learning on your own time and in the convenience of your home or office. FHCA will provide one (1) contact hour of continuing education for the course. And the course may be included in the total general hours required, and per the Board, may be completed online. Administrators who have not completed this course should do so as soon as possible, as compliance with this newer requirement was mandated to be complete by January 21, 2021 for all current license holders.

After watching the video course, participants will be able to:

  • Define and address what human trafficking is in the State of Florida
  • Address how complex-trauma effects the brain and the brains of human trafficking victims
  • Address how health care professionals can make an impact on victims of human trafficking
