This one-hour, on-demand video course will address various types of human trafficking, ways an individual can be trafficked, general data on human trafficking, trauma, the internet’s role in facilitating human trafficking, the effects of complex-trauma on the brain and how Nursing Home Administrators can make an impact on victims of human trafficking. Inventory Supply Management for PPE and COVID-19 POC Testing

COVID-19 and other unpredictable infectious agents – coupled with fluctuating demand and inconsistent supply – have created the need for skilled nursing, assisted living and ID/DD facilities to have robust PPE inventory management programs. Surveyors are closely examining how prepared long term care facilities are to weather these unpredictable factors. Under Phase 3 of the CMS Requirements of Participation, nursing facilities must have data-driven Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Programs that address the full range of care and services offered as detailed in F-Tags F865, /f867 and F868). Developed by AAPACN, this five-course program trains leaders and teams to provide high-value care and services while positioning your business for continuous growth and sustained performance improvement. The program, which is geared toward administrators, DONs, nurse leaders, infection preventionists and leadership teams, prepares individuals to take the QAPI Certified Professional (QCP) exam and become a QCP. Preceptor Refresher Virtual Training

This on-demand webinar helps Preceptors meet the two-hours of continuing education required upon license renewal every two years. The course covers the required areas of training, including AIT program requirements, and offers an informative review of nursing center domains of practice. Learn more.

Preceptor Provider Training Video Course

FHCA's Preceptor Provider Training prepares nursing home administrators to serve as Preceptors for students in the Administrator-In-Training (AIT) Program or College-Based Internship required for individuals who plan to become licensed nursing home administrators. This six-hour, self-directed video course has been approved by the Board of Nursing Home Administrators for Florida licensed administrators desiring to be certified. Presenters will lead attendees through the program to help qualify them to become Preceptors. Six (6) contact hours can be earned for taking the course. Any nursing home administrator who acts as a preceptor will be granted 10 hours of continuing education credit for that biennium. Learn more.

Revenue Cycle Management Academy

AHCA/NCAL is now offering the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Academy, a five-module online training program that covers a holistic interdisciplinary approach toward revenue management.  RCM can be implemented in a building, more broadly or as an organization-wide approach to enhance revenue by minimizing losses from payments that too often are unnecessarily lost or overlooked. The program will provide an RCM overview and attributes of high performing teams, systems to assure proper and timely payment and best practices for managing different payor sources. To bolster the learning experience, the RCM Academy also includes bonus webinars profiling providers’ real-life experiences running effective RCM programs. Additional webinars and resources will be developed throughout the year.  FHCA members receive a discount for ordering the course, which is approved for 6.75 NAB continuing education credits. Trauma Informed Care Training

AHCA/NCAL's Trauma Informed Care (TIC) is a regulatory requirement and an approach to care that requires specific staff competency and a system of care delivery that achieves the regulatory intent and provides the necessary support to care for nursing home residents who may suffer from trauma. Nine CMS F-tags cover various aspects of TIC making compliance with this critical form of care vital to nursing facility survey success and quality care. FHCA members receive a $300 discount for this nine-module training program, which is designed to educate nursing facility providers and nurses about how to implement TIC in their facilities. Individuals will learn how to screen and assess for trauma and incorporate TIC into the discharge process.
