Wound Care Regulatory Changes: Understanding the Impact for Compliance and Quality Outcomes
A significant set of changes to the MDS 3.0 took effect October 1, 2023, including regulatory changes to wound care, which can impact a facility’s Quality Measures. This virtual, live program will discuss the changes and how they impact Section M coding, along with use of the appropriate ICD-10 codes and how new changes should be implemented, coded, and captured. Changes specific to wound care, including end-of-life wounds, coding for new admissions and assessments will be covered, along with a process for compliance and best practice principles for enhanced quality care.
