Florida Nursing Centers Among Top in the Nation with 15 New 2026 Silver Achievement in Quality Awards

Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) today celebrated 15 member centers recognized among this year's Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipients, the second level of the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living's (AHCA/NCAL) National Quality Award Program. With this year's honorees, Florida is now home to 62 Silver Award recipients, ranking among the top five in the nation. 

"These FHCA member centers represent the heart and hard work of our profession," said Emmett Reed, FHCA CEO. "This recognition reflects their dedication and the talented teams who are raising the bar of quality care each day. I couldn't be prouder to see our state standing among the very best in the nation."  

Florida's 2026 Silver Award recipients are:

●    Coastal Health and Rehabilitation Center — Daytona Beach
●    Coquina Center — Ormond Beach
●    Delaney Park Health and Rehabilitation Center — Orlando
●    Health Care & Rehab of Sanford — Sanford
●    Highlands Lake Center — Lakeland
●    Jacksonville Nursing & Rehab Center — Jacksonville
●    MacClenny Nursing & Rehab Center — Macclenny
●    Moultrie Creek Nursing & Rehab Center — St. Augustine
●    Pines of Sarasota — Sarasota
●    Shands Jacksonville Medical Center — Jacksonville
●    Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center — Lake Worth Beach
●    The Health Center at Sinai Residences — Boca Raton
●    Vivo Healthcare Orange Park — Orange Park

Florida’s 15 care centers are among 255 organizations across 43 states that earned Silver in 2026, as the Quality Award Program marks its 30th anniversary. Florida’s combined national Quality Awards include 153 Bronze recipients, 62 Silver recipients and 3 Gold Award centers.

“Earning the Silver Quality Award reflects a skilled nursing or assisted living organization's dedication to turning its commitment to quality into measurable results,” said Clif Porter, president and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “This achievement requires commitment from every team member in every role, and together they have demonstrated that continuous improvement is embedded in their culture and guides the care they deliver every day.” 

Established in 1996, the National Quality Award Program recognizes long term care organizations that meet progressively rigorous standards of quality to improve the lives of their residents. Applications are reviewed by a highly trained team of examiners using the nationally recognized Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework to evaluate how organizations deploy, assess, and refine their systems to drive continuous quality improvement. 

FHCA’s Quality Award recipients will be recognized during FHCA’s 2026 Annual Conference & Trade Show, July 26-30 at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, as part of the Quality Awards and Scholarship Ceremony and Celebration sponsored by Medline Industries. This event serves to honor all FHCA members that earn quality achievements, including the National Quality Award, Governor’s Gold Seal Award for Excellence in Long-Term Care and Joint Commission accreditation. Long term caregivers who earn a 2026 FHCA scholarship to help advance their careers will also be recognized.
 
All 2026 National Quality Award Recipients will be recognized during the Elevating Excellence Awards Ceremony at AHCA/NCAL’s Convention & Expo: Delivering Solutions 26, in Boston, Mass, from October 11-14, 2026.
