FHCA Launches CarefortheAging.org Website to Address Long Term Care Workforce Needs

TALLAHASSEE - Florida Health Care Association has launched Florida.CarefortheAging.org, a new website to help job seekers find career opportunities in Florida's long term and post-acute care profession. Florida.carefortheaging.org features a wealth of resources, including state-specific education requirements, salaries and career-focused testimonial videos from caregivers, developed to inspire high-school students, early career professionals and job seekers looking for new opportunities to pursue a career in the rewarding field of long term care. The site also includes a link to open positions in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across Florida, along with a built-in interest form to capture information from site visitors, especially those seeking a new career opportunity.

“Individuals working in Florida’s skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities often find great reward in serving our state’s seniors and a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their careers,” said FHCA Chief Executive Officer Emmett Reed. “This new resource is an excellent tool that will help educate the public on the diverse range of opportunities available in the long term and post-acute care profession and support our members in their efforts to attract, recruit and retain skilled caregivers.”

High school students, early career professionals and job seekers looking for new career opportunities are encouraged to visit https://florida.carefortheaging.org/ to get connected with resources and employers. Long term care employers interseted in posting open positions via FHCA's CarefortheAging.org website can visit www.fhca.org.
