Florida’s 2025 AHCA/NCAL Silver National Quality Award Recipients Announced

Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) is pleased to announce that 16 skilled nursing centers and one assisted living facility are being recognized for earning the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) 2025 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award. The distinction is the second of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated high quality outcomes for staff and residents in long term care.
 
The following 17 FHCA members earned the Silver - Achievement in Quality Award for 2025:
•    Avante at Jacksonville Beach, Jacksonville
•    Avante at St Cloud, Saint Cloud
•    Bay Pointe Nursing Pavilion, St Petersburg
•    Boca Raton Rehabilitation Center, Boca Raton
•    Community Care Center, Plant City
•    Concordia Manor Inc, St Petersburg
•    Covenant Living of Florida, Plantation
•    Emerald Coast Center, Fort Walton Beach
•    Island Lake Center, Longwood
•    Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center, Belleair
•    Osprey Point Nursing, Bushnell
•    Parkside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Deland
•    River City Nursing and Rehab Center, Jacksonville
•    The Oaks at Avon, Avon Park
•    The Residence at Timber Pines, Spring Hill
•    Venice Health & Rehabilitation Center, Venice
•    Winter Haven Health & Rehab Center, Winter Haven

This recognition is a reflection of their dedication to going above and beyond when it comes to delivering compassionate long term care.” 
 
Earning the Silver - Achievement in Quality Award requires a long term care center to achieve the Bronze - Commitment to Quality Award prior to moving to the Silver level. Applicants adhere to the criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program to evaluate and improve their processes, creating a systematic approach that leads to and sustains positive results. 
 
These 17 care centers are among 209 long term care organizations in 40 states that received the Silver award. Florida now jumps to second in the nation when it comes to Silver National Quality Awards, with a total of 51 centers that have earned this achievement. In addition, there are a total of 167 long term care centers in Florida that have achieved Bronze National Quality Award status. Three Florida nursing centers have achieved Gold, the highest award distinction.

Florida continues to outpace the nation in the standard of care provided to seniors and people with disabilities, as shown on FHCA's Long Term Care Quality Dashboard
 
Florida’s National Quality Award recipients will be recognized during FHCA’s 2025 Annual Conference & Trade Show, July 13-17 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, as part of the Quality Award & Scholarship Ceremony and Celebration sponsored by Medline Industries. 
 
The National Quality Awards will be officially presented at the Elevating Excellence Awards Ceremony during the AHCA/NCAL Delivering Solutions 25 Convention & Expo, October 21, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Learn more about the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program here.
