FHCA Partners with Florida Community Care to Launch Rising Long Term Care Leader Scholarship

FHCA today announced a partnership with Florida Community Care to provide funding for a new scholarship that will support individuals with a career goal to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. The FHCA Rising Long Term Care Leader Scholarship program will provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled in an Administrator in Training (AIT) in a Florida skilled nursing center.

FHCA Announces 2024 Class of Executive Nurse Leadership Academy

FHCA has announced the 2024 Class of the Executive Nurse Leadership Academy. FHCA’s Executive Nurse Leadership Academy involves a three-day intensive training, informative webinars and programming designed for rising nurse leaders within the profession, including Directors of Nursing (DON), Assistant Directors of Nursing (ADON) and other clinical leaders working in Florida’s long term care centers.

St. Petersburg College Students Awarded Scholarships from Florida Health Care Association

Proposed Federal Nursing Home Mandates Undermine Progress in Florida, Exacerbate Workforce Shortage According to New Study

A new analysis reveals the harmful and costly impacts the Biden administration’s recently announced federal staffing mandates will have on Florida nursing centers and their residents. According to the study by professional services firm CLA, the federal CMS proposed staffing mandate will cost Florida nursing centers an additional $188 million, despite Florida already having comprehensive staffing standards.
