Tallahassee, FL - More than 600 long term care professionals from across Florida were on hand to applaud Rosemary Carbonelli, administrator of Pines of Sarasota ALF, as she was honored by the Florida Health Care Association as the 2011 Assisted Living Facility Administrator of the Year. The award was presented by FHCA Mulitifacility VP Marilyn Wood during the Association’s Annual Conference in Orlando and is the pinnacle of recognition for assisted living facility administrators in Florida’s long term care profession.

Carbonelli has over 20 years’ experience in leadership and team building and is known for being an action-oriented administrator deeply committed to residents’ quality of life. As administrator of Pines of Sarasota ALF, a 72-bed assisted living facility, she works tirelessly to address the needs of every resident and the results are in their satisfaction levels; they so very much appreciate the job she is doing. She is also actively involved with Florida Health Care Association, serving as the Association’s national affiliate State Leader (National Center for Assisted Living – NCAL) where she represents Florida’s assisted living facilities at the national level to help Members of Congress better understand what’s happening with assisted living services in Florida today.

“FHCA is pleased to honor Rosemary Carbonelli with this prestigious award,” said FHCA Executive Director Emmett Reed. “Her leadership in the profession and dedication to the residents she serves makes her an excellent role model for other long term care professionals across the state.”

The Assisted Living Facility Administrator of the Year Award is given annually by Florida Health Care Association to an assisted living facility administrator of an FHCA-member facility who shows true leadership qualities within the facility, is a trendsetter for other administrators and demonstrates a positive image in the community.
