Tampa Health Care Professional Elected to Lead State's Largest Long Term Care Advocacy Group

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Florida Health Care Association (FHCA), the state’s first and largest advocacy organization representing over 700 Florida long term care facilities and more than 1,000 professional members, has elected Anita Faulmann of Tampa as President of the Association. Faulmann is Regional Director of Operations for Excelsior Care Group, which manages four skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities across Florida. As President, Faulmann will lead the Association’s 30-member Board of Directors and will focus her term on growing the next generation of long term care leaders.

“Each of us is aware of the significant workforce challenges we’re experiencing in long term care,” said Faulmann. “My goal is to engage our membership to inspire future generations to take a leap of faith with us so this profession remains strong and Florida continues as a leader in quality care.”

Faulmann has worked in long term care for over 35 years, first as a recreational therapist then quickly moving up the career ladder to nursing home administration and ultimately regional operations. Faulmann has spent most of her career actively involved in FHCA. She previously served on the FHCA Executive Committee as Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary and has also chaired the association’s Workforce and Annual Conference committees. She is a graduating member of the FHCA Florida Leaders program and the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) Future Leaders in Long Term Care.

Faulmann will be joined on the FHCA Executive Committee by the following officers:
