FHCA Elects 2021-2022 Board of Directors

Diverse group of long term care professionals elected to lead Florida's largest advocacy organization for long term care providers

TALLAHASSEE, FL ‐ Florida Health Care Association (FHCA), the state's largest long term care association representing more than 600 long term and post-acute care facilities and over 1,000 professional members, recently elected its 2021-2022 statewide officers. These volunteer leaders were sworn in during the FHCA 2021 Annual Conference & Trade Show held in Orlando, July 25-29. Marco Carrasco, Administrator of Susana Wesley Health Center in Miami was elected President of FHCA and shared his vision for helping providers overcome their financial challenges and address their ongoing workforce needs in the year ahead.

"We must be creative in how we meet the needs of our residents, while at the same time creating opportunities for our staff to show them that we are a profession that provides an opportunity for growth and advancement," said Carrasco. "We are a solutions-focused association. I believe that we have what it takes to develop the strategies to solve our staffing and financial challenges and continue to strengthen FHCA through membership growth and partnership opportunities."
