FHCA Welcomes Susan E. Anderson as Director of Government Affairs

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida Health Care Association is pleased to announce that public policy expert Susan E. Anderson has joined the team as Director of Government Affairs. Susan will work under the direction of Senior Director of Government Affairs/Chief Lobbyist Toby Philpot and will assist with advancing the Association's legislative agenda. She'll also support members with regulatory compliance and liaison with the agencies providing state and federal oversight of long term care facilities.

"Susan brings a wealth of legislative, regulatory and policy experience, and we're confident that her knowledge and expertise will contribute greatly to our members' goals to continuously enhance the quality care they deliver,” said Emmett Reed, chief executive officer for FHCA.

Susan comes to FHCA from LeadingAge Florida, where she served as the Director of Assisted Living Public Policy. She has held positions of the Vice President of Public Policy for the Florida Senior Living Association and as Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel in programs within the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. Susan has experience in developing public policy, advising on regulatory compliance, legislative activities, rulemaking, contracting, and public employment litigation.
