FHCA has submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to warn of the unintended consequences of the proposed federal nursing home staffing mandates. FHCA’s Chief Executive Officer Emmett Reed cautions that these mandates will lead to reduced access and quality of care for residents.

FHCA today announced a partnership with Florida Community Care to provide funding for a new scholarship that will support individuals with a career goal to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. The FHCA Rising Long Term Care Leader Scholarship program will provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled in an Administrator in Training (AIT) in a Florida skilled nursing center.

A new analysis reveals the harmful and costly impacts the Biden administration’s recently announced federal staffing mandates will have on Florida nursing centers and their residents.
